Free Smoke Alarm Program
The Tippecanoe Township Volunteer Fire Department, in conjunction with
Historic Five Points Fire Museum will provide and install a
free smoke alarm for any Tippecanoe Township resident living in a single-family or two-family residence. TTVFD will also install replacement batteries at no charge.
It should be re-emphasized that
not everyone will be eligible or meet the criteria for this service. Exclusionary examples from the benefits of the free smoke detector program include businesses, contractors, and rental properties.
Smoke alarms save lives by warning residents of a fire and allowing them time to escape safely.
